During the construction of a flowerbed with a bench on Soborna Street in Mykolaiv, a metal ring was affixed directly to a living tree, which violates the laws of Ukraine on "Plant Life" and the "Rules for the Maintenance of Green Spaces in Settlements of Ukraine."

According to the press service of the State Environmental Inspectorate for the southwestern district, a complaint about the violation was received via the inspection's hotline.

"The director of the contracting organization has been held administratively accountable. A protocol has been drawn up under Article 153 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, and a fine of 510 hryvnias has been imposed. Furthermore, the inspection will initiate the dismantling of the structure," the statement said.
