Meteorologists from the Lviv Hydrometeorological Center shared insights about the weather in the early days of spring. Starting from February 28, temperatures in Lviv are expected to drop. They forecast rain, with some areas experiencing wet snow.
On March 1 and 2, nighttime temperatures will fall to 0°, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 2° and 8° Celsius. Subsequently, daytime temperatures may rise to 10°. However, from March 4 to 6, a series of atmospheric fronts are anticipated, bringing windy conditions and a return to colder weather.
According to meteorologists, warm spring weather is expected starting March 8, with temperatures potentially reaching 15° Celsius. Overall, the weather in March will be variable but typical for this month. As for winter, meteorologists noted it was two degrees warmer than usual.
“We have an unusually dry February; not enough moisture accumulated during the winter months, leading to a dry March. I want to emphasize this as it could cause significant harm to nature. To prevent this, we need to ensure precipitation occurs. This requires cleaning rivers and springs, protecting them, and keeping them clean and orderly,” stated Elena Smalyukh, a meteorologist from the Lviv Hydrometeorological Center.
The meteorologist added that in January alone, Lviv recorded six instances of exceeding absolute maximum temperature records.
