Air defense forces repelled an attack by Russian drones across seven regions.

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 38 drones in the night from January 6 to January 7. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians launched 38 strike drones and UAVs of other types from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk on the night of January 7. As a result of the air battle, 28 drones were destroyed. Air defense operated in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kirovohrad regions. No hits were recorded.

Additionally, 10 enemy imitation drones were lost in specific locations, three of which headed towards Russia.

It is worth noting that in the night from January 5 to January 6, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with guided aviation missiles X-59 and 128 UAVs.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that in the enemy drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine on the night of January 5, 8,755 components of foreign production were discovered.
