The Northern Lights illuminated the sky above Mykolaiv (photo).

Residents of Mykolaiv witnessed an unusual natural phenomenon — the northern lights, which were previously observed mainly in the far north.

Scientists attribute this event to a powerful solar plasma ejection directed towards Earth. According to them, the phenomenon is accompanied by a strong magnetic storm, which may have caused the appearance of the lights in an atypical region.
