Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the port in Odesa, resulting in casualties.

On the evening of Saturday, March 1, the Russian army launched a ballistic missile strike on Odesa. As a result of the attack, two individuals were injured, reported the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.

“The attack damaged port infrastructure and a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Panama, owned by a European company,” the head of the Regional Military Administration reported.

According to him, two port employees sustained injuries from the attack. All relevant services are currently working at the scene, and medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the victims.

Later, Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, informed that two individuals injured due to the attack on the port infrastructure were hospitalized in city hospitals.

Sources from the local publication "Dumska" revealed that a container ship belonging to the Swiss company MSC, which arrived in Odesa this morning, was damaged as a result of the strike.

It is worth noting that an air raid alert in Odesa due to the threat of ballistic weapon use was declared at 17:44 and lasted until 18:07.
