Russian forces launched a missile strike on energy facilities in Volyn.

Due to an enemy attack in Lutsk, electric transport is not operational, and students have been transitioned to remote learning.

On the morning of November 28, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine using strike drones and missiles. Explosions were reported at critical infrastructure sites in the Volyn region, leaving 215,000 consumers without electricity.

“Missiles were aimed at critical infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Some private buildings were damaged. This will also affect electricity outages in Volyn. Currently, approximately 215,000 subscribers are temporarily without power,”reported the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, Ivan Rudnytskyi.

According to him, firefighters have already extinguished the blazes at the impact sites. The thermal power station and emergency services are currently working to mitigate the consequences of the enemy attack.

The mayor of Lutsk, Ihor Polishchuk, stated in a video address that several strikes occurred directly in the city.

“There are power outages in parts of Lutsk, so electric transport is currently not operational. We are working with transport providers to maximize the deployment of buses that could carry the number of passengers typically served by electric transport. At the same time, we are connecting critical infrastructure to alternative energy sources,” – noted Ihor Polishchuk.

According to Ihor Polishchuk, students attending the first shift have been switched to remote learning. Additionally, "Points of Invincibility" are being set up in all schools in the city.

It is worth mentioning that the air raid alert in the Volyn region lasted from 05:18 to 09:15. In the morning, energy infrastructure facilities in Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, and Rivne came under Russian attack. As a result, "Ukrenergo" implemented emergency power outages.
