On the evening of Friday, February 28, Russian occupiers launched an attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, and another was injured, reported Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
The Russians targeted the Odesa district with kamikaze drones. According to the Regional Military Administration, the strike hit residential buildings.
“As a result of the attack and the falling debris, a one-story private house, a business, and both cargo and passenger vehicles caught fire. One person died, and another was injured,” Oleg Kiper stated.
Currently, rescuers and law enforcement are working at the site of the shelling. Efforts to mitigate the consequences of the attack are ongoing.
Updated March 1. The State Emergency Service clarified that the number of injured from the attack in Odesa has risen to three. The strike ignited a one-story private house and cargo and passenger vehicles on the premises of a business.
It is worth noting that information about the drone attack was also reported in the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the Russians attacked the central part of the city and a residential area. The consequences of the attack are being assessed.
