On February 4, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region, resulting in 5 fatalities and 20 injuries reported so far.
This information was shared by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
"Enemy strike on Izium. According to preliminary data, the occupiers used a ballistic missile. Four people have died," the message states.
According to Synegubov, the attack targeted the central part of the city, with 20 individuals known to be injured.
Later, the head of the administration added that one more person is trapped under the rubble.
It was noted that the occupiers hit an administrative building and damaged another nearby administrative structure, as well as several multi-story residential buildings.
"There are no military facilities in this area. Four people are dead, and 20 are injured. Five of the injured have been hospitalized. All relevant services are on site. Information is being updated," Synegubov wrote.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the strike targeted the city council building, with five fatalities according to his information.
