On the night of Friday, November 29, air defense forces repelled an attack by Russian drones. A total of 88 UAVs were successfully destroyed. This information is reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the night of November 29, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 132 Shahed UAVs and drones of unspecified types from the directions of: Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The Ukrainian air defense shot down 88 enemy drones in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions. Additionally, 41 UAVs were lost in specific locations, likely due to active electronic warfare. One drone returned to Russia.
“As a result of the Russian attack, infrastructure, vehicles, and both private and multi-apartment buildings were damaged in several regions of Ukraine; assistance is being provided to the victims,” the statement adds.
Consequences of the Russian attack on the night of November 29
It is known that in Odesa region, as a result of the nighttime attack, seven residents were injured. In three localities of the Odesa district, 13 residential and summer houses were damaged. The Russians also targeted the port and transportation infrastructure of the region.
In Kyiv, as a result of falling debris in the Dnipro district, a polyclinic building and nearby houses were damaged.
It is worth noting that on the night of Thursday, November 28, there was already the 11th mass attack this year on Ukraine's civil energy infrastructure. Russia launched surface-to-air missiles, cruise missiles, and aviation missiles, as well as strike drones. In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Forces detected 188 air attack means.
