Five series set to return in January 2025.

In addition to bringing viewers several new projects in January 2025, the first month of the year will also see the return of new seasons of beloved series. Here are some highlights.

“Mayfair Witches”

Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, Season 2, premieres January 5

An adaptation of the series of novels by the renowned American author Anne Rice. Rowan Fielding is an inexperienced yet extraordinarily talented neurosurgeon from San Francisco who accidentally discovers that she is the heir to the Mayfair family of witches. Desiring to uncover the truth about her origins, Rowan travels to New Orleans, where she must not only learn to control her magical abilities but also confront evil demons. In the second season, Alexandra Daddario reprises her role as Rowan Fielding.

“The Rookie”

The Rookie, Season 7, premieres January 7

After six previous seasons, John Nolan, played by Nathan Fillion, has long stopped being the rookie in the Los Angeles Police Department. However, viewers are not ready to let go of their favorite characters just yet. Nolan and his colleagues are set for new adventures. John is recovering from a gunshot wound, and two new recruits join the team as the police continue their pursuit of two dangerous escaped convicts.

“Goosebumps”

Goosebumps, Season 2, premieres January 10

The second season of this horror series about the supernatural, based on the eponymous book series by R.L. Stine, often referred to as the Stephen King for teens, carries the subtitle "Disappearances." The season consists of eight episodes and features a new story with an entirely different cast, including David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, and others.

Teenagers unraveling the mystery discover a terrifying threat. As they delve into the unknown, a brother and sister become embroiled in a chilling tale about four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

David Schwimmer, known for his role in “Friends,” will play Anthony, a former botany professor and the father of the main characters, the brother and sister. The children are staying with him for the summer, which draws Anthony into the eerie story as well.

“Harley Quinn”

Harley Quinn, Season 5, premieres January 16

The new season of the American animated comedy series centers around Harley Quinn, a character from the DC Universe created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. The producers and writers include Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey. In the fifth season, Harley and Poison Ivy will be moving from Gotham City to Metropolis.

“Severance”

The continuation of a corporate dystopia where the main character is part of an experiment—one of his personalities works tirelessly while the other is lazy. When the two sides of Lumon Industries employee Mark (Adam Scott) begin to conflict, many secrets start to surface.

The series also stars John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Clarkson.
