Pro-Russian provocateur Ivan Danatsky from Transcarpathia has been drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The well-known figure associated with scandalous and provocative actions in Transcarpathia, Ivan Danatsko, has been mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military medical commission deemed him fit for service in supply military units, territorial centers, and training centers. Ivan Danatsko announced his mobilization on January 31 via Facebook, noting that he was taken to Sambir.

The published document from the military medical commission states that he is a reserve sergeant and suffers from paralytic strabismus in his left eye, along with moderate impairment of hand functions. During the medical examination at the Uzhhorod recruitment and social support center, he was found fit for service in supply military units, territorial centers, training centers, medical units, as well as in logistics, communications, operational support, and security units.

It is worth recalling that 56-year-old Ivan Danatsko is known for his provocative actions in Transcarpathia. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, he has been detained twice. In 2023, he was apprehended for spreading Russian narratives about "Nazism" in Ukraine and justifying the actions of Russian military personnel, and in 2024, for threatening representatives of the Jewish community in Transcarpathia. For these criminal cases, the provocateur faces up to 5 years in prison.
