The High Anti-Corruption Court is examining a lawsuit for the civil confiscation of the property belonging to the head of the Upper Koropets Village Council in the Mukachevo district, Volodymyr Khymyche, valued at over 2.6 million UAH. The lawsuit was filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, which deems the assets of the village head and his wife unjustified.
This case involves a house valued at 2.4 million UAH and a land plot worth over 230 thousand UAH in Mukachevo, which Volodymyr Khymyche's wife bought in January 2022. Given the family's expenses and income disclosed in the official's declaration, law enforcement officials consider the property acquisition unjustified.
On November 19, the High Anti-Corruption Court seized a residential house with a land area of 0.6 hectares belonging to Volodymyr Khymyche. The preparatory hearing for the confiscation of the village head's property for state revenue has been scheduled for December 17.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that 60-year-old Volodymyr Khymyche, a native of the Komi Republic, has been leading the Upper Koropets Village Council for three consecutive terms since November 2010. Besides the seized property, his family owns over ten land plots, several stores, and non-residential premises. In 2023, as the head of Upper Koropets, Volodymyr Khymyche earned 408 thousand UAH, while his wife received over 1.2 million UAH from business and real estate sales.
