Russian occupying forces are expected to experience record personnel losses in Ukraine over the next two months, as the Kremlin seeks to improve its negotiating position ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration. This was stated by Ivan Timochko, Chairman of the Reserve Council of the Ground Forces, in an interview with "RBK Ukraine."
"We will have record numbers in the last two months, as Trump's inauguration approaches," Timochko said.
He clarified that in just the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces lost over 2,000 servicemen, which is already a record. However, in his opinion, there will be significantly more fallen Russian occupiers ahead.
Timochko explained that Vladimir Putin is "far from confident" that he will have significant advantages during the negotiations announced by Donald Trump and his team.
"He (Putin, — ed.) understands perfectly well that entering the negotiation process in the situation he is currently in represents a position of serious weakness. The second army in the world is bogged down in our Donetsk region, which it wanted to occupy in three days, suffering unprecedented losses, unable to achieve victory or fulfill its own plans," Timochko emphasized.
Recall that on November 29, a representative of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Evlash, stated that "Shaheds" can fly over the territory of Ukraine for more than 24 hours.
On November 28, military personnel Andrey Krivushenko, with the callsign "Borodyulya," stated that there's no point in rushing to mobilize 18-year-olds in Ukraine.
