Altercation Over a Woman in Mykolaiv: "Gentleman" Stabbed in the Chest
In Mykolaiv, a conflict arose between men due to insults directed at their mutual acquaintance.
The incident occurred on February 2, as reported by the communication department of the Mykolaiv region police.
Police discovered that a fight broke out on one of the streets of the city between two unfamiliar men, during which a 38-year-old assailant stabbed his opponent in the chest.
Officers took the assailant to the police station, where investigators detained him under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
This individual has previously come to the attention of law enforcement and has been held accountable for property-related crimes.
Investigators have classified his actions under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Intentional Serious Bodily Harm," and have issued a suspicion notice. The sanctions for this article provide for a prison term of up to eight years. The court will soon decide on a preventive measure for the suspect.
