On Sunday, February 2, in the village of Bryukhovychi near Lviv, a 32-year-old driver of a Toyota RAV4, under the influence of alcohol, caused an accident that resulted in injuries to a man standing on the sidewalk. The perpetrator was apprehended by the police.
According to the police in Lviv region, the accident occurred around 10:00 on Lvivska Street in Bryukhovychi. The 32-year-old driver of the Toyota RAV4, a resident of Lviv, lost control of the vehicle, crashing into an electricity pole, a fence, and a parked Volkswagen Transporter. Subsequently, the minibus, moving on inertia, injured a man who was standing on the sidewalk.
As a result of the accident, a 44-year-old resident of the Lviv region sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.

The police discovered that the driver of the Toyota RAV4 was behind the wheel while intoxicated. He was detained, and soon the court will decide on a preventive measure for him.
Investigators have opened a criminal case for violating traffic safety rules while under the influence of alcohol (part 1 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The offender faces imprisonment for up to three years and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to five years.
