In Volyn, a 47-year-old woman driving a Citroën lost her life in a collision involving two cars.

On the morning of January 7, a fatal traffic accident occurred near the village of Cherevaha in the Kamin-Kashirsky district. As a result of the collision between two cars, a 47-year-old female driver of a Citroën lost her life, and two others were injured. This was reported by the regional police press service.

“The 47-year-old Citroën driver collided with a Fiat vehicle driven by a 49-year-old resident of the Kovel district. The woman succumbed to her injuries in the hospital, while the driver and a 41-year-old passenger from the other car were hospitalized in the intensive care unit,” the law enforcement officials stated.

Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This pertains to the violation of traffic safety rules that led to a fatality.
