A 36-year-old pedestrian was struck by three vehicles on the road near Sambir.

A 36-year-old pedestrian died in Lviv region. He was struck by a truck, which then propelled his body into the oncoming lane where it was hit by two more vehicles. Investigators are determining the circumstances of the accident.

The incident occurred on November 22 at approximately 5:30 PM on the road near the village of Babyna, not far from Sambir.

“The driver of the MAN TGA truck, a 42-year-old resident of Lviv region, hit the pedestrian. The impact threw him into the oncoming lane, where he was struck by a Fiat Fiorino and a BMW 530D, driven by 53-year-old and 37-year-old residents of the Sambir district,” – the police reported.

The 36-year-old resident of the Sambir district died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.

Investigators have launched an inquiry under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules).
