At the recently renovated intersection in central Mykolaiv, heavy machinery has damaged the tiles, prompting a complete relaying of the pavement.

Two weeks after the traffic was opened at the intersection of Sadovaya Street and Igor Bedzay Street (Chkalova), a hole formed near the rails due to repair work — it turned out that the cause was the work being carried out by the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant.

This was reported by a correspondent from "Novosti-N".

According to the press service of the KP "Mykolaiv Electric Transport", whose employees were involved in repairing the surface at this crossing, the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant is conducting work at the intersection due to a break in the heating networks. As a result, the new tiles were damaged by heavy machinery.

Additionally, the company emphasized that the tiles in this section of the road have already started to be replaced. Currently, work is underway on the section of Sadovaya Street heading towards Central Avenue. Later, work is also planned on the section of Sadovaya Street towards Pogranychna Street, as the tiles there were also crushed by the heavy machinery of the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant.

It should be noted that exactly one week later - as of Monday, November 18, the paving tiles laid on the tram tracks began to deform in places — some tiles are falling out, while others are crumbling.
