In Mykolaiv region, two trucks and a car collided: the driver died
On Thursday, January 30, around 8:00 PM, an accident occurred on the road "Kropyvnytskyi – Mykolaiv" between the villages of Semenivka and Vossiyatyske in the Yelanets community of the Voznesensk district, involving a Citroen C5 and two DAF trucks with trailers.
This information is reported by the communication department of the Mykolaiv region police.
As a result, the 55-year-old driver and the 48-year-old passenger of the car sustained injuries but refused medical assistance. Subsequently, the passenger of the Citroen died at the scene.
Investigators have classified the incident as a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by persons managing vehicles, leading to the death of the victim." The penalty for this article can be up to eight years in prison.
The police are establishing all circumstances and causes of the incident.
Investigation actions are ongoing, and a number of relevant examinations have been appointed, the results of which will provide a legal assessment of the actions of all participants in the traffic accident.
