At the Mishkovsky cemetery in Mykolaiv, machinery is demolishing old graves and monuments down to ground level.

The video recording was shared by former Mykolaiv city council member Yevhen Rymar on his Facebook page.

The caption for the video notes that abandoned graves are being removed in preparation for a new area designated for the sale of burial plots.

“Mishkovsky cemetery in Mykolaiv: machinery indiscriminately demolishes graves, monuments, and fences down to ground level. A new area is being prepared for the sale of burial plots.

There is still no new cemetery in the city, nor are there crematoriums. They continue to sell burial plots and stack them in two or three tiers at cemeteries that have long been closed,” the message states.
