68-year-old Mykola Toma was a publicist and a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, having worked for over 20 years as the editor-in-chief of the Romanian-language newspaper "Zorile Bucovinei."
Additionally, Mykola Toma was born on December 11, 1956, in the village of Boyany, Novoselytsia District.
In 1979, he graduated from the journalism department of Chișinău State University and began his career at the editorial office of "Zorile Bucovinei," located in Chernivtsi. Mykola Toma started as a correspondent, then became a staff correspondent, deputy editor, and eventually the editor-in-chief of the publication. He was also a well-known local community activist for the Romanian minority.
