Mykhailo Drapaty urged the government to take a strong stance against the killings of military personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Centers.

The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the head of the Joint Operational Command "Khortytsia," Mykhailo Drapatiy, condemned the recent murder of a military serviceman at the TCC in Pyryatyn and the explosion at the Rivne regional TCC and SP. He referred to it as a "red line that must not be crossed." This was stated by the major general wrote on Telegram on Sunday, February 2.

According to Drapatiy, society has no right to tolerate the growing "wave of contempt for Ukrainian defenders." Because without a sharp reaction from citizens, previous cases of humiliation and aggression towards military personnel turn into direct armed attacks against them.

"There are no justifications for the murder of a serviceman and the attack on the TCC. A swift and harsh reaction from the authorities is the only possible response to the lawlessness against the military,” the Commander is convinced.

He added that without just punishment for the guilty, Ukraine will see even more servicemen killed in the rear. He also urged everyone to remember that the Defense Forces and the Armed Forces are "the only thing that separates us from the enemy."

"Contempt for a person in pixels begins where dignity ends. We must respect those who have taken up arms and, at the cost of their own lives, defend our cities, the people in them, our borders, sky and land, our state, our flag, our home,” said Mykhailo Drapatiy.

Recall that on February 1, at a gas station near the city of Pyryatyn in Poltava region, an unknown man attacked a serviceman of the TCC and SP, who was escorting reservists to a training center. The assailant shot the serviceman with a rifle and fled with the mobilized individual. Later, the attacker and the mobilized man who fled with him were apprehended. The police are investigating the incident.

On the same day, around 16:20, an explosion occurred in the premises of the Rivne regional TCC and SP. As a result, one person died, and six others were injured.
