Residents of Lviv region can win 700 UAH by making cashless payments on regional buses.

It is necessary to make at least 30 cashless payments per month.
Жители Львовщины могут выиграть 700 грн за безналичную оплату проезда в областных автобусах.

In Lviv Oblast, passengers of suburban and intercity buses who pay for their fare cashlessly will have the chance to win 500 or 700 UAH. To qualify, they need to make at least 30 cashless payments within a month. This was announced on Monday, February 3, on the Facebook page of Smart Ticket Technology, the company responsible for implementing the e-ticket system in Lviv Oblast.

“From now on, any passenger who makes 30 or more cashless payments within a month on suburban and intercity bus routes in Lviv Oblast will automatically have the chance to win 500 UAH. If you pay with a Visa card, the prize is 700 UAH,” said Oleg Dolinsky, the head of the Smart Ticket Technology company in the Lviv region.

To participate in the promotion, it is enough to pay for your fare daily using a bank card (or another device that supports contactless payment). The system will automatically select passengers who have made 30 or more such payments in a month. Among them, 50 winners will be randomly chosen to receive cash rewards.

“At the beginning of each following month, we will publish a list of winning bank cards on our Facebook page. The card numbers will only show the first 8 and the last 4 digits,” explained Oleg Dolinsky.

To claim the prize, winners must contact our hotline at 0 800 300 844 within a month of the publication of this list to confirm the existence of the corresponding card. The list of winners will be published on the Facebook page “E-Ticket in Lviv Oblast/Smart Ticket Technology.”

Passengers are reminded that one bank card (or another NFC-enabled device) can only be used to pay for one passenger’s fare. Additionally, a different fare structure applies in the region, so the system deducts costs based on distance. It is important not to forget to confirm your drop-off location - re-swipe the card on the validator when exiting.

“We urge residents to ask the driver for a boarding ticket at the beginning of the trip, and if they encounter any obstruction from carriers regarding the e-ticket system or violations of the schedule or route scheme, they should contact the department to take management decisions to prevent such violations in the future. Complaints can be registered by calling the short hotline number 1684 or the government hotline 1545,” stated Orest Shulikovsky, director of the road management department of Lviv OVA.

If passengers have any questions or comments regarding the system's operation, they should reach out to the hotline at 0 800 300 844.

As a reminder, at the end of November 2023, cashless payments for travel on intercity and suburban buses were implemented for the first time in Ukraine in Lviv Oblast. However, many carriers are boycotting the new system, and validators in minivans are not functioning, so passengers continue to pay with cash.
