The Lutsk-based company Modern Expo has launched a factory in Lublin, Poland. This facility will produce parcel lockers for the British postal service, Royal Mail. According to Forbes, the manufacturer's plans include expanding beyond Europe and competing for a parcel locker market valued at $2.6 billion.
As shared by Petro Pylypyuk, co-owner and CEO of Modern Expo Group, the company already had production facilities in Lublin covering 8,500 m2 that were not being utilized effectively. They have now expanded this space by 47% (to 12,500 m2) and plan to commence production in August 2024. According to Petro Pylypyuk, this event has not been publicized due to high competition in the market.
The first factory of the company in Lublin has been operational for several years, but this resource has become insufficient.
“The additional factory in Europe strengthens our logistics network and enhances the resilience of our supply chain,” said the co-owner.
Collaboration with Royal Mail involves not only supplying parcel lockers but also developing comprehensive software solutions and providing expert support.
It is worth noting that Petro Pylypyuk founded Modern Expo together with Polish entrepreneur Bohdan Lukasik in 1997. Today, the trading company is a leader in its field and has established production ranging from store shelves and counters to cash registers and parcel lockers. Since the early 2000s, the headquarters of Modern Expo and its largest factory, covering 83,500 m2, have been located in Lutsk. The products are exported to 75 international markets. In particular, Modern Expo's parcel lockers are already operational in Poland, the Czech Republic, Norway, Germany, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia.
