Kim shared details about the power supply network accident in the Mykolaiv region

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, discussed how the restoration of electricity supply is progressing in Mykolaiv and the surrounding area.

He made these comments during a broadcast on Unified News.

The regional head noted that as of the morning of November 29, a significant portion of consumers in the Mykolaiv region remains without electricity. He clarified that following the shelling of the Mykolaiv region on Thursday, November 28, energy workers repaired the power lines and attempted to restore the system, but another accident occurred due to overload. According to him, the accident has now been resolved, and they have begun to supply electricity to consumers. For those who have had power restored, a schedule for power outages will be implemented.

- A large number of people, I won't mention specific numbers, have been without electricity for over 24 hours. We started restoring the system yesterday. We fixed it, but due to excessive consumption, another accident occurred. It was resolved half an hour ago. We are now starting to supply consumers, with the current schedule being - 2 hours of power on, 4 hours off. Our limits are not large, but we will increase them to avoid situations of system overload. This also applies to the line to Kherson, - said Vitaliy Kim.

Regarding infrastructure facilities, he stated that alternative power sources are being used to ensure their operation.

- We have a bit of our own cogeneration; currently, hospitals and the main heating system are operating from it. The substations of "oblteploenergo" are running on generators; there are quite a few, around 90. They will now be temporarily shut down for technical breaks, but we will maintain heat in the system and the entire network. For critical infrastructure, we prioritized their restoration. The main issue now is to provide power to people as quickly as possible, - concluded the regional head.
