In one of the communities in the Ternopil region, students will receive 20,000 UAH for achieving the highest score on the national multi-subject test or the external independent testing (ZNO). Additionally, monetary rewards will be given to students for winning places in various competitions and Olympiads. This support is funded from the local budget.

The reward system for students and graduates has been introduced in the Bilobozhnytska community, located in the Chortkiv district. This decision was approved by the community deputies at the latest session meeting. In addition to students, teachers who assisted children in achieving success and developed original programs and textbooks will also receive bonuses, reported in the Bilobozhnytska community.

“Students and pupils of educational institutions will be awarded for significant achievements in learning, which will be measured by the results of external independent testing or the national multi-subject test, as well as for winning places in the III and IV rounds of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiads in academic subjects and for winning places in regional, national, and international competitions, Spartakiads, and contests,” – stated the Bilobozhnytska community.

The highest reward will be given to school graduates who achieve the maximum score in one subject of the ZNO or NMT. They will receive 20,000 UAH. Graduates who complete their general education with honors will be awarded 5,000 UAH.

Rewards for winning places in Olympiads and competitions:

  • for 1st place in the regional stage – 4,000 UAH;
  • for 2nd place – 3,000 UAH;
  • for 3rd place – 2,000 UAH;
  • for 1st place in the national stage – 7,000 UAH;
  • for 2nd place – 5,000 UAH;
  • for 3rd place – 3,000 UAH.

If a child wins two or more places, the monetary reward will be provided for each victory. The educational staff who prepare students demonstrating a high level of achievement in regional and national Olympiads in academic subjects, competitions, and tournaments will receive a reward equal to that of the student. Furthermore, teachers will be awarded a bonus of 5,000 UAH for winning places in All-Ukrainian professional skill competitions and for developing original programs and textbooks.

“Such a reward system will encourage students to participate more actively in various competitions at different levels, projects, Olympiads, contests, and to achieve high academic results, while motivating teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills and develop,” – emphasizes the head of the Bilobozhnytska community, Viktor Shepeta.
