A grenade found in the courtyard of a high-rise building in Mykolaiv turned out to be a dummy.

Today, November 24, around 8 AM, a report was received on the special line 102 from a resident of Mykolaiv stating that there is a grenade without a fuse on a bench in the yard of a house on Shosseyna Street.

This information was reported by the communication department of the Mykolaiv region police.

The police investigative team from the Mykolaiv district department and the explosive ordnance disposal unit of the regional police cordoned off the area and began their inspection.

During the initial actions and inspection of the discovered item, specialists determined that the grenade found was a dummy, did not contain any explosive components, and posed no threat.

Currently, the police are establishing all the circumstances surrounding the incident and identifying the individual who left the mock explosive device.
