This is something that residents of other cities cannot comprehend: Kim shared insights on life in frontline Mykolaiv.
The head of the Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim, spoke on the "My" TV channel about what life is like in frontline Mykolaiv region.
According to him, the people of Mykolaiv will not be understood by those in central Ukraine or other cities who have not experienced what it’s like “when 40 rockets arrive.”
-Mykolaiv region lives with memories and clearly remembers what it means to suffer. You know, they say: make a person suffer, and then show them how it was, and they will be a happy person. We understand what it’s like to live in hardship when 40 rockets are falling. This is something that residents of central Ukraine or other cities, where there have been only a few strikes throughout the war, cannot grasp. Therefore, people here are relatively calm about it, and I have repeatedly stated: I measure the war not in days, but in casualties. So when we have no casualties after shelling — then everything is fine for us. We can rebuild everything material, - said the regional leader.
