Deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from the "European Solidarity" party, Zvenyslava Mamchur-Kalynets, has submitted a statement to terminate her deputy powers. This is stated in the draft resolution of the Lviv Regional Council, published on November 26.
According to the document, Zvenyslava Mamchur-Kalynets submitted her resignation letter on November 25. The reasons for this decision are not disclosed in the draft resolution. Now, the deputies of the Lviv Regional Council are expected to vote on the deputy's statement at the upcoming session.
Just last Friday, the deputy shared information on Facebook about the meetings with constituents held by deputies from "European Solidarity" in Lviv region. ZAXID.NET reached out to Zvenyslava Kalynets-Mamchur for a comment on the reasons for her resignation, but had not received a response by the time this news was published.
62-year-old Zvenyslava Kalynets-Mamchur is the head of the Ecology Department at Lviv University, a public figure, and the daughter of dissidents from the sixties, Ihor and Iryna Kalynets. She became a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from the "European Solidarity" party in 2020, serving as the secretary of the committee on education, science, and innovation. After her resignation, only four deputies will remain in this committee. Without Zvenyslava Kalynets-Mamchur, the "European Solidarity" faction will have 27 deputies left.
