The case of the knife fight involving the brother of a former deputy from Mykolaiv: the court will question law enforcement officials

The Central District Court of Mykolaiv is continuing the judicial proceedings in the case of the "knife fight," where the accused is Andriy Nevenchanyy, the brother of the former city council deputy.

This information was reported by the press service of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

The court proceedings are presided over by Judge Volodymyr Aleynikov.

The court has continued to examine written evidence. In particular, the expert conclusions, relevant protocols, and resolutions were reviewed.

However, some procedural documents contained discrepancies that require clarification. Therefore, at the request of both the defense and prosecution, the court ruled to summon the officials who prepared the mentioned materials for questioning.

Additionally, the court granted the prosecutor's request and extended the detention period for the accused.

The fight occurred near a store on Architect Starov Street around midnight on May 3. During the altercation, two participants sustained knife wounds. One victim died at the scene, while the second was hospitalized by an ambulance. The police noted that the perpetrator fled, but he was soon apprehended. According to “Novosti-N,” the detained individual, Andriy Nevenchanyy, is the cousin of the former city council deputy. One of the victims in the "knife fight" in Mykolaiv was Yuriy Bohomyatkov, who was in pre-trial detention at the time of the full-scale invasion - he was a subject of a extortion case.

In a comment to “Novosti-N,” Judge Volodymyr Aleynikov stated that the deceased was a serviceman who had been in pre-trial detention before the full-scale invasion.

Andriy Nevenchanyy, suspected of murder during the knife fight outside the store in the Severny district of Mykolaiv, explained what led to the conflict.
