On the night of February 1 to 2, an unidentified explosive device detonated in a hotel on Horodotska Street in Lviv, resulting in a 44-year-old man being hospitalized with injuries. This information was reported by the press service of the Lviv Regional Police.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that a 44-year-old resident of Lviv threw an unknown explosive device from the third floor of the hotel. As a result of the explosion, the man sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized,” the police report states.
The blast wave also damaged windows and doors of the hotel. According to media reports, this incident occurred at the "Arena" hotel located at 83 Horodotska Street, which is owned by the Lviv State Circus.
Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – "Hooliganism." The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is working to establish the circumstances of the explosion and the origin of the explosive device.
