Detectives from the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) have uncovered the organizers of two gambling establishments in Lviv that operated without the necessary licenses.
As reported on Wednesday, November 27, by the BEB's Territorial Department in Lviv region, the organizers meticulously concealed their illegal activities: access to the premises with gambling machines was restricted to selected players only. Entry was monitored via a video surveillance system, and access to the machines was granted for cash payments.
“During searches of the gambling establishments and the residences of the suspects, detectives confiscated cash, computer equipment, mobile phones, and various documents,” the BEB statement said. The territorial department clarified to ZAXID.NET that both gambling establishments operated in Lviv.
During the searches, computers, a large amount of cash, and rough accounting documents were seized
The case is being investigated under Part 1 of Article 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal activities related to the organization or conduct of gambling games and lotteries). Investigators are identifying all individuals involved in the illegal activities.
