This character trait may reveal your intelligence, according to the theory of a German philosopher.

Julian de Medeiros recalled the works of 19th-century German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer on TikTok. Schopenhauer believed there is a direct connection between intelligence and social interactions.
Эта черта характера может свидетельствовать о вашем уровне интеллекта, согласно теории немецкого философа.

Philosophy expert Julian de Medeiros stated that he can instantly determine whether a person is intelligent or not based solely on one specific trait of their character. The specialist, as reported by Mirror, utilized the theory of the German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, who lived from 1788 to 1860.

The thinker claimed that the smarter a person is, the more difficulties they encounter in interacting with others.

"Or, as he put it, the smarter a person is, the greater their risk of becoming asocial," Julian explained.

Continuing to clarify Schopenhauer's theory, Julian added that it is based on the belief that "intelligent people prefer to be alone" and are generally introverts by nature. At the same time, they have a small, select group of individuals they trust, and in the presence of other people, especially strangers, intelligent individuals often feel somewhat uncomfortable.

According to the specialist, Schopenhauer believed that intelligent people are also highly sensitive to sounds and enjoy controlling their environment.

"So Schopenhauer essentially said that the smarter a person is, the more they enjoy their time and space, and the more they love being alone and in their own company," concluded the philosophy expert.

The video quickly went viral, garnering over three million views. For instance, one commenter questioned Schopenhauer's theory.

"Even if all intelligent people are asocial, which seems questionable, it doesn't mean that all asocial people are intelligent," he stated.

It is worth noting that according to psychologists, psychopathy is not an exclusively negative trait. Psychopaths can live their entire lives without even being aware of their diagnosis.
