Judge of the Supreme Court's Cassation Court, Serhiy Zhukov, resides in a mansion near Kyiv, situated on 4 hectares of land. The property also features lakes and vineyards. Zhukov did not disclose all the assets owned by his family in his declaration. This information was revealed in an investigation by Bihus.Info, published on January 20.
It is noted that 45-year-old Serhiy Zhukov has been serving as a judge in the Cassation Economic Court as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine since 2017. Specifically, he handles bankruptcy cases. Prior to this, he worked as a lawyer and owned a law firm in Dnipro. Additionally, from 2010 to 2015, the human rights defender was a member of the Dnipro City Council.
The investigation states that Serhiy Zhukov's wife, Yevheniya, is a judge at the Kyiv District Administrative Court.
In their declarations, Serhiy and Yevheniya Zhukov listed two apartments in Dnipro and Kyiv along with a parking space. The couple also officially owns a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg and a 2009 Volkswagen Golf.
Despite owning an apartment in Kyiv, the family resides in the mansion outside the city. The 4-hectare property includes two houses, a forest, a cascade of lakes, greenhouses, vineyards, and a wine cellar. Journalists estimate the property's value could be around one million dollars.
Zhukov mentioned that he moved into the mansion in the summer of 2024 and only rented the house, claiming no connection to the rest of the property.
According to official data, the estate consists of 11 plots owned by different individuals. Journalists discovered connections between Judge Zhukov and some landowners. In particular, the Zhukov family's house and several other plots belong to Dnipro realtor Andriy Moskaliov, who is an acquaintance of Serhiy Zhukov and previously purchased real estate from him.
“Another portion of the land, including that under the vineyards, currently belongs to Vladyslav Dmytruk, a private entrepreneur from Chernihiv region. He is also well acquainted with Zhukov, as he confirmed himself in a comment to Bihus.Info,” the article states.
Dmytruk purchased the plots near Kyiv from Bohdan Zhila, who is now an assistant to Judge Serhiy Zhukov.
Another friend of the judge, Dmytro Zhornichenko, owns 180 acres of land featuring lakes. Journalists report that after assuming his judicial position in 2017, Zhukov transferred his share of the legal business to Zhornichenko. Additionally, Dmytro Zhornichenko owned another house on the estate, which he sold to Stanislav Zhukov in November 2024. Stanislav is the judge's student son, whose only income is a scholarship.
Judge Serhiy Zhukov stated that his son purchased the house near Kyiv with the money obtained from the sale of an apartment in Dnipro. The judge was unable to specify the price of the house, and Stanislav forgot how much he paid for the property.
According to sources from Bihus.Info, none of the judge's acquaintances had comparable official incomes to afford real estate near Kyiv. In a comment to journalists, Zhukov indicated that he is willing to submit a statement and undergo a full check by the NACP. He claimed to have all the necessary documents.
