In the context of hourly power outages in Ukraine, it is not always possible to charge devices on time, which causes inconvenience for many. To ensure that your phone retains its charge longer in such situations, it is advisable to follow a few recommendations, as noted by Telegraf.
It is important to enable power-saving mode, lower the screen brightness, and close background applications. During outages, avoid using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS if your phone is low on battery or if they are not necessary.
Additionally, during power cuts, always have a fully charged power bank on hand. It should be stored in a dry and cool place and monitored to prevent overheating.
One common mistake is charging the phone to 100%. An optimal charge level is considered to be 80%. At the same time, avoid allowing the battery to fully discharge, meaning to 0%. This way, the battery capacity will remain at a higher level for a longer period.
Furthermore, do not leave your phone charging unattended—especially right after power has been restored. The voltage in the network may still be unstable, which could damage the phone. It is better to wait 15 minutes to avoid voltage spikes and prevent the phone from being damaged.
