Северокорейские военные казнили украинских солдат, которые пытались сдаться в плен.

During the examination of documents seized from North Korean soldiers, it was revealed that DPRK fighters witnessed the deaths of their comrades and consequently resorted to executing Ukrainians. This was reported on January 19 by the Wall Street Journal, citing the Korean branch of the Human Rights Foundation.

Documents from an unnamed North Korean officer contained information that DPRK fighters in the Kursk region killed Ukrainian soldiers who attempted to surrender. They resorted to executions because they "witnessed the deaths of their comrades."

Our fighters, who saw others fall, ruthlessly killed those who tried to surrender,” the document stated.

The Washington Post also reported that in this manner, North Korean soldiers killed several Ukrainian soldiers, which allegedly enraged the Ukrainians and drew them into battle.

On Monday, January 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published part of the interrogation of a North Korean soldier who was captured. The captive recounted that he arrived in Russia on a cargo ferry, which carried over 100 soldiers in total. He noted that he was unaware he was going to war and against whom he would be fighting. According to him, he knew very little about the world outside North Korea.

Intelligence information regarding the movement of such soldiers to Russian territory, their training, and their complete informational isolation is confirmed by the words of the captives. All facts regarding North Korea's involvement in this war will be established,” Zelensky wrote.

Ukrainian intelligence services continue to communicate with North Korean military personnel captured by the Defense Forces in the Kursk region. On January 14, Zelensky released the first part of the interrogation of one of the captives.
