Law enforcement officials have submitted to the court the case of the organizer of a "congress" aimed at seizing power in Ukraine after Constitution Day in 2024. The co-founder of the public organization faces up to 10 years in prison with asset confiscation.

As reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Ivano-Frankivsk region on November 20, this concerns a series of provocations scheduled to take place in Kyiv on June 30, 2024.

“Under the guise of holding a so-called 'congress', the perpetrators planned to announce a change in the state governance system and remove the current military-political leadership of Ukraine from power. They hoped to establish an illegal technical government, seize government buildings, and disrupt their operation,” the SBU informs, adding that the court has already held four participants of the event accountable.

One of them, Andriy Reyze, a native of Makiyivka, evaded punishment for participating in the convening of a "viche" at the October Palace in Kyiv. In October 2024, the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court sentenced him to 2 years of probation.
