Ukraine has successfully returned six children and their families from the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region. This was reported on Tuesday, October 29, by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The families were returned from the occupied left bank of the region. Among the returned children are two girls and four boys aged between eight and 16 years.
“Among those returned is a foster family that takes care of a girl deprived of parental care. Along with her, her adult brother was evacuated,” – stated Oleksandr Prokudin.
The rescue of the children was carried out by the organization Save Ukraine. According to the returned Ukrainians, the children were forced to attend the occupying "Russian schools" and listen to enemy propaganda.
It is noted that since the beginning of 2024, Save Ukraine has rescued 224 children from occupation in the Kherson region. It is worth recalling that on October 29, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia has kidnapped tens of thousands of children from orphanages in occupied territories, including those whose parents died as a result of Russian aggression and those separated from their parents during filtration.
