In Lviv, specialists in logistics are receiving free training.

Lviv has joined a project aimed at helping the logistics sector find qualified personnel, while also offering those seeking employment or wishing to acquire a new profession the opportunity to gain new skills. The Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council, in collaboration with Trade Master Group and the Lviv Transport and Logistics Cluster, has signed a memorandum of cooperation. This was reported by the LMC.

The Trade Master Group training center offers free logistics training. The company collaborates with over 80 employers from across Ukraine who are ready to hire training participants, including 11 from Lviv. So far, 251 participants have completed the courses, with about 60 securing employment.

«We are a training center focused on developing specialists, which is why we have launched an ambitious program to train 420 specialists in key logistics professions, which are currently in short supply. Thanks to the grant, we are providing free training for those who want to work in logistics. When inviting candidates for training, we sign memorandums stating that they are ready to be employed after completion», – said Tetiana Illienko.

The company has been training production and distribution specialists of higher and mid-level in the logistics sector for 15 years. This year, they plan to train around 200 specialists in logistics across 8 professions, engage over 30 new employers, and organize a job fair.

During the full-scale war, a catastrophic problem emerged regarding personnel departures and a lack of qualified staff.

«Logistics is one of the key sectors that ensures business stability and development in the face of modern challenges. Through collaboration with Trade Master Group and the Lviv Transport and Logistics Cluster, we have the opportunity not only to address the issue of staff shortages but also to create new employment opportunities and enhance the qualifications of our residents», – stated Inna Svyatun, director of the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council.
