In a head-on collision in Rivne region, the driver of a minibus and three children were injured.

On the evening of December 10, an accident occurred in the village of Dovhoshii within the Mlyniv community. As a result of the collision between a minibus and a bus, a 29-year-old woman and her three children were injured. This was reported by the press service of the regional police.

According to the investigation, the driver of the Renault Trafic, a 29-year-old resident of Volyn, did not choose a safe speed, lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a "PAZ" bus driven by a 61-year-old resident of Lutsk.

“As a result of the accident, the driver of the minibus and her three children were injured: daughters aged 8 and 7, and a 5-year-old son. All of them were hospitalized with fractures and bruises. Another 10-year-old son was not injured,” the police reported.

Preliminary information indicates that both drivers were sober; however, biological samples were taken from them.

In connection with the violation of traffic safety rules that caused moderate bodily harm to the victims (part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), law enforcement officials have initiated a pre-trial investigation. The article's sanction provides for a fine or up to three years of restriction of liberty.
