On Friday, February 21, the Defense Tech Innovation Forum 2025 took place in Kyiv. At the event, Ukrainian developers showcased the long-range missile "Trembita" for the first time. This was reported by "Militarny".
The "Trembita" missile was developed by the Ukrainian company Pars. According to the company's director, Akim Klemenov, the missile is relatively inexpensive because simple technologies were used in its development. The basic version of the missile costs about $4,500, while adding a warhead will raise its price to between $10,000 and $15,000.
“The missile is built around a pulsed air-breathing engine made of stainless steel with no moving parts. It is cheap and simple. Yes, it has certain drawbacks, but its advantages are worth it,” quotes "Militarny" Akim Klemenov.
Currently, the final testing phase is underway, and the Ministry of Defense has already received part of the documentation for weapon codification. The developers stated that "Trembita" will be equipped with a warhead weighing 20 kg, and it is expected to hit targets at a distance of 150-160 km. Furthermore, it will be able to reach speeds of nearly 400 km/h.
Additionally, "Trembita" will have a decoy version, which will be fitted with an extra fuel tank to extend its flight range to 200 km. As noted by Militarny, both missile variants can be used simultaneously to exhaust enemy air defenses and strike targets.
