In the Carpathians, draft evaders from Zaporizhzhia were apprehended while dressed in military uniforms.

Border guards in Transcarpathia apprehended three residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast who, dressed in camouflage, attempted to enter Romania. Administrative protocols were drawn up against the evaders for attempting illegal border crossing.

As reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service on January 21, the men were detained in the mountains. The patrol spotted them using a drone.

“Upon hearing the sound of the drone, the offenders, dressed in camouflage, hid behind trees, but they were unable to escape. The drone operator guided the border patrol directly to the location of the illegal tourists, where they were apprehended,” – noted the State Border Guard Service.

The detainees turned out to be residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, aged 28, 34, and 37 years. Administrative protocols were drawn up against them for attempting illegal border crossing.
