The Burshchyn Central City Hospital has launched a rehabilitation department with 30 beds, where civilians and military personnel can undergo recovery after illnesses and injuries. A total of 15 million UAH has been allocated for renovation and equipment, including 9.4 million from a fund established by benefactors from Switzerland and the USA.

As reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, on December 18, the rehabilitation department at Burshchyn Hospital will employ 14 specialists from two multidisciplinary teams. The unit will provide physical and psychological rehabilitation services to military personnel with injuries, as well as patients suffering from musculoskeletal disorders and acute or chronic neurological conditions.

“The opening of the department was made possible through joint efforts. The Burshchyn community allocated 5.5 million UAH from its budget. Our international partners also contributed – the charitable foundation MoveUkraine provided 9.4 million UAH for the completion of renovation works and the acquisition of specialized equipment,” Svitlana Onyshchuk wrote on Facebook.
