This popular ornamental plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause severe irritation of the mucous membranes and throat, swelling of the tongue, and even difficulty breathing. Even minimal contact with the plant is enough to cause serious health issues for a dog.

Monstera

Monstera, known for its large leaves, can also lead to severe poisoning in dogs. Its sap contains substances that can trigger vomiting, drooling, diarrhea, and abdominal pain in dogs. In more serious cases, respiratory and heart problems may arise.

Philodendron

This member of the aroid family is also on the list of plants that are dangerous for dogs. All parts of the philodendron contain toxic compounds that can cause irritation of the mouth, swelling of the tongue, drooling, and vomiting. If a large amount of poison enters the body, it may lead to kidney and liver damage.
