Following a scandal, the drone operators' center in Ternopil region was urgently evacuated.

The equipment and students were relocated to another city.

Following a scandal and the disclosure in Russian Telegram channels, the UAV operator training center in Ternopil region was urgently evacuated. It was established at one of the educational institutions in the area. However, after the Ternopil Regional Military Administration and regional council announced this information in the media, Russian propagandists on social networks claimed that the center had been added to the list of missile strike targets.

The first training center for drone operators in Ukraine was opened at the end of January. Education Minister Oksen Lisovyi, who attended the opening, stated that over 10 million UAH had been allocated for its equipment.

After this information was officially disclosed on social media, volunteer and military analyst Maria Berlinska warned that discussing and writing about the opening of UAV operator training centers on public pages is dangerous. She also included screenshots from Russian propaganda Telegram channels in her Facebook post, indicating that this center had now become yet another target for Russian attacks.

Following the public outcry in early February, the UAV operator training center was urgently evacuated from the educational institution. Equipment and various drones were transported to another city.

“According to the information I have, as of February 3, 2025, children and equipment have been removed from the premises. There is nothing left there. Kudos to our special services and local leadership. As for those leaders and journalists who created this foolish PR – they do not deserve praise. A lesson for all of us,”reported volunteer Maria Berlinska.

The information regarding the evacuation of the center was also confirmed by the Ternopil Regional Military Administration to ZAXID.NET.
