The police are investigating the case concerning the creation of an artificial shortage of tickets for the most popular routes of the international connections of "Ukrzaliznytsia." On Wednesday, December 11, searches are being conducted at the company's offices and on trains in Kyiv. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
In Kyiv and the region, on December 11, the police are conducting investigative actions at the office premises of the structural unit of "Ukrzaliznytsia," as well as on international trains. Law enforcement is investigating cases of abuse by company officials during the transportation of passengers on international trains.
“The actions of the individuals involved have led to significant losses and the creation of an artificial shortage of tickets for the most popular routes available for free sale,” the police reported.
Searches are being conducted:
"Ukrzaliznytsia" warned about potential inconveniences for passengers in the form of additional checks or delays in train operations.
Recall that on November 19, the panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court acquitted the former head of the procurement procedures department of the subsidiary of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," declaring her not guilty of embezzling 21.4 million UAH of the company due to insufficient evidence of her committing a criminal offense.
