Oleksandr Syrskyi responded to the violence against military personnel of the TCC.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, commented on the incidents of violence against employees of the TCK and SP that occurred across Ukraine in early February. The corresponding statement was published on his official pages on Monday, February 3.

“In Poltava region, while fulfilling military duty, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was serving at the territorial center for recruitment and social support, was killed by a murderer. In Rivne, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were injured as a result of a bomb explosion set off by an attacker. Another explosion occurred at the RTC and SP in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region,” Syrskyi recalled.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, one of the injured in Rivne is in critical condition. The condition of the serviceman injured in Pavlohrad is assessed as stable, with minor injuries.

Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that any violence against servicemen is unacceptable. The Armed Forces expect a complete and thorough investigation of these crimes, and those responsible must face just punishment.

The Commander-in-Chief also stressed that the Armed Forces are doing everything possible to prevent violations of human rights during mobilization activities.

“The Ground Forces are working to address existing issues in the operation of the TCK, correcting mistakes, and improving the quality of TCK operations. However, the nationwide effort to defend Ukraine is impossible without public support for the army and respect for servicemen,” said Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Recall that on February 2, the incidents involving attacks on servicemen of the TCK and SP were responded to by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy. The official particularly mentioned the murder of a serviceman in Poltava region and the explosion at the Rivne regional TCK, calling for a strong response from the authorities. He is convinced that without just punishment for those responsible for the attacks, the cases of murders of military personnel in the rear will only increase.

Attacks on servicemen of the TCK and SP – what it's about

On the night of January 31 to February 1, at a gas station near the city of Pyriatyn in Poltava region, a man shot a serviceman of the TCK and SP with a shotgun, stole his assault rifle, and fled with his accomplice, who was trying to evade mobilization. Later, the attacker and the mobilized man, who fled with him, were detained. The next day, they were informed of the charges against them.

On the same day, at the premises of the Rivne regional TCK and SP around 16:20, an explosion occurred. As a result, one person was killed, and six others were injured.

Already on February 2, an explosion occurred near the building of the district TCK and SP in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. Due to the explosion, a man sustained minor injuries.
