The Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, February 21, made the decision to remove the industrial park "SIGMA Park Yarychiv" in Lviv region from the state register of industrial parks. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
The basis for the removal is that within two years of its establishment, a management company was not selected for the industrial park. Furthermore, the park did not engage in economic activities, nor did it attract participants, etc.
“The removal of the industrial park from the register does not constitute grounds for its liquidation. It may continue its operations, but without receiving benefits and incentives from the state,” the statement reads.
As noted by Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindraty, the park can reapply for inclusion in the register after six months.
As written by ZAXID.NET, in 2017 the Lviv Regional State Administration and LLC "Industrial Park "SIGMA Park Yarychiv" signed a memorandum regarding the establishment of an industrial park in the village of Stary Yarychiv in the former Kamyanka-Buzka district on a 34-hectare plot.
At that time, co-founder of the company Roman Protsak stated that one of the largest logistics complexes in Western Ukraine, covering an area of 30,000 m2, would be located within the industrial park. It was also planned to build facilities for 10 large and 30 small enterprises, which were expected to create about 2,500 jobs.
Construction was set to begin in April 2017, however, since then there have been no developments on the site of the planned park.
