A passenger bus on the Lviv-Lutsk route fatally struck a 66-year-old pedestrian.

On Wednesday, December 18, on the Lviv – Lutsk highway near the village of Pribuzhany in the Kamyanka-Buzka community of Lviv region, a passenger bus fatally struck a 66-year-old local resident.

According to the Lviv region police, the accident occurred around 7:00 PM on the highway near the village of Pribuzhany in the Lviv district. The 62-year-old driver of the MAN passenger bus, a resident of one of the villages in the Lviv district, hit the pedestrian, a 66-year-old local resident.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrator faces imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, along with a three-year ban on driving vehicles.
