The Economic Court of Lviv Oblast has ordered the company "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" to pay the Lviv City Council 1.19 million UAH in debt for the use of a plot of land on Danila Apostola Street.

According to the case materials, in 2010, the Lviv City Council leased a 1.6-hectare plot of land on Danila Apostola Street, 10, to PJSC "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" for a period of 10 years. The company has privatized property on this plot, including buildings with a total area of over 5,600 m2.

In January 2020, the lease agreement between the Lviv City Council and PJSC "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" expired, and a new one was not signed; however, the company continued to use the land. Notably, there are cafes, a service station, a legal office, a medical center, and a parking lot located here.

After violations were detected, the city council approached the company with a request to sign a new lease agreement. The city council calculated that from August 2021 to August 2024, the company had accrued a debt of 1.19 million UAH and filed a lawsuit.

Taking into account the circumstances of the case, Judge Iryna Kozak granted the city council's claim and ordered PJSC "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" to pay the Lviv City Council 1.19 million UAH in debt and 17,000 UAH in court fees. This decision can be appealed.

PJSC "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" was registered in 1994 on Danila Apostola Street and operates in the electricity sector. The firm is owned by several companies, with significant share packages held by PJSC "Scientific Research and Design Institute 'Promprylad'" and LLC "Renaissance Center." The director of the company is Andrii Brehin, a deputy of the Davydiv Village Council.

Previously, the founders and representatives of the company were affiliated with the "Samopomich" party, and for over 10 years, PJSC "Pivdenzakhidelenergomerezhbud" was led by Lev Pidlisetsky, a deputy of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada and a member of the parliamentary faction "Obednannia 'Samopomich'," who passed away in 2021.
